Your 1st Memory Illustrator Project 2

Assignment Nov., 2, 2009:
Using Adobe Illustrator as a primary tool and photoshop for image prep work, create an image that depicts your earliest childhood memory. Like past photoshop assignments we will continue to work found image based sources that we will collage and using illustrator to color into.
Embellish the scene, think like a child, and consider your use of various types of images (ie., photographic, cartoony, hand-drawn, bold-graphic...). With the in-class demo we will go over importing various types of images and how to convert images to vector graphics to be manipulated with illustrator.

In class we will cover.
Working between Photoshop and Illustrator
converting images to outlines
using the live paint tools.
placing images, and understanding "linked images"

With this assignment I would like you to demonstrate 1) using various image sources; 2) converting a found image into a vector graphic to serve your aesthetic needs; 3) use of the "live painting tool"; effectively saving completed image as a jpg.

By next class finish creating your scene, save project as an illustrator file and using Photoshop create a .jpg file and post results to your blog.
